Best in Drugstore Makeup

These are the best drugstore brands for your face and your bank account! Both of these brands are completely cruelty free and super affordable. Something to keep in mind is that the majority of drugstore products are not cruelty free. They do test on animals or sell their products to China, which legally insists on testing foreign products on animals. For a list of cruelty free brands check out crueltyfreekitty.com.

Wet & Wild

This brand is one of my favorites because their products are high quality. Their new cushion foundation is the best drugstore foundation that I've used. It's infused with coconut oil, smells great, and gives the skin full coverage with a dewy finish. This foundation retails for $8.99 and has a shade for every skin tone. Their pressed powder highlights are creamy with a high color pay off. They remind me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills highlights pigmentation wise and they retail for just $4.99. Their new Hello Halo liquid highlights are also amazing because they're not too glittery but give the skin a beautiful "wet" looking glow. The contour and highlight sticks are very creamy and blend out seamlessly along with their cushion bronzer. The only negative to this bronzer is that it only comes in one shade but it's a perfect mix between a cool and warm toned bronze. The sticks retail for only $3.99 and the cushion bronzer is $5.99. Lastly the ombre blushes give a really nice flush of color to the cheeks. My favorite shade is 'Mai Tai Buy You a Drink' which is a super natural peachy tone with a slight shimmer to it. The Wet & Wild blushes also retail for $4.99. All of these products can be found at your local Walgreens or on wetnwildbeauty.com.

E.L.F

E.L.F is a cruelty free and vegan drugstore brand that sells makeup and skincare products. Their brushes are by far the best brushes on the market, even better than high end! The eyeshadow brushes retail for $3.00 and their face brushes are anywhere between 3 and 12 dollars. In comparison to high end brands sold at Ulta and Sephora, brushes can be 20 to 50 dollars for a single brush. The B.B cream from E.L.F is very hydrating, and has SPF 20. It's also great for color correcting the skin, and retails for $6.00. The lip scrub and under eye packs are great skincare products that I think everyone should have in their daily routine. The lip scrub is primarily made from brown sugar and is only $3.00. It comes in a lipstick tube that you apply directly to the lips. The Hydrogel Under Eye Packs cost $8.00 for a pack of three masks that hydrate and refresh the skin under the eyes. They're very similar to the Tarte Cosmetics "Pack Your Bags" under eye pads. You can find all of these products at your local Target or on elfcosmetics.com.

Happy Shopping!
